A series of paintings "All Shades of Blue" is a study of coloristic relationships within a strictly defined framework of the plot chosen by the author. The artist Nina Kukharets boldly compensates for the fundamental plastic uniformity of the depicted figures with a variety of painting techniques, tools and materials. Oil and charcoal, gouache and mascara, acrylic and lipstick may seem incompatible just like female nudes and cold shades of the color spectrum. But, taken as a whole, these nine works do not cause cognitive discomfort. There is an opinion that psychologically, the blue color has a calming effect on the mind, drowns out and extinguishes passions, but also sharpens sensitivity and gives freedom in expressing emotions. The presented meditation series fully confirms this opinion.
