The motive of rebellion against the stereotypes of the position of women in modern society is resolved in a metaphorical visual key:  mundane and surrealistic supernatural images are intertwined, reminiscent of Terry Gilliam's film "Brazil". Are the heroines of "Cells" to blame for their position or this evil rock? Are they able to break out of the hopeless shackles of everyday life or will they be imprisoned in them like Agent Cooper in the Black Lodge? Do the images have real prototypes or are they some kind of humanoid functions, as in Christopher Nolan's film "Tenet"? These are just some of the issues that are present in the work of Nina Kukharets.
